This is just a suggested range and we have heard that adults and older children have also enjoyed learning from our videos. Q: How long is each video? A: Each video is approximately 30 minutes long when played straight through. Q. Is Chinese Level 1 the same material as "Learn Chinese with Billy and Benboo"? A: There is some overlap in terms of the lesson content (2 of the 5 chapters deal with similar topics) but Chinese for Kids vol. 1 is a completely new format that we're sure your child will also enjoy. In this DVD, the characters are played by native speaking actors. This is combined with 3-D animated cartoons. We've also added new songs and, most uniquely, interactive DVD games that can be played with the DVD remote control or with your computer mouse. It really takes the entertainment factor to a new level. Q: Is Spanish Level 2 the same material as "Learn Spanish with Carlos & Chiquitita"? A: Most experts agree that the earlier, the better. Some feel that exposing your child to different sounds that make up words ("phonemes") from a foreign language at a very earlier age (infant - toddler) is the first step towards building fluency in that foreign language. If exposed often enough, he will begin to recognize these sounds and hopefully start to repeat them. Videos are a great way to expose your child to the sounds and "sights" of a foreign language.
